Neal Carlton is President of TXOGA Insurance Agency, Inc. He joined the Texas Oil and Gas Association (TXOGA) in September 2015 as Director of Membership and served as Vice President for Membership and Corporate Secretary for TXOGA from January 2020 to December 2022. Mr. Carlton is a fifth-generation Texan raised in Georgetown, Texas. He is a graduate of Texas Tech University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Economics and a Texas Teaching Certification for the secondary level. He also holds a Certificate in Financial Planning from the Georgetown University Center for Continuing & Professional Education in Washington, D.C.

Prior to joining TXOGA, he served as Coordinator for State and Federal Relations at the Texas Department of Agriculture. His professional career began in Washington, D.C. working for two members of Congress from Texas, serving in President George W. Bush’s administration as an advisor to the Treasurer of the United States, and with a federal affairs firm representing multiple Texas higher education institutions.

Mr. Carlton has served in leadership for Texas Tech University Alumni Association Chapters in Washington, D.C., Austin, and Williamson County. He is an Eagle Scout, outdoors enthusiast, and serves as a leader in his community and church.

He lives in Georgetown and enjoys spending time outdoors and traveling with his wife, Elizabeth, and their daughters.
