How can you help?

These are some trying times we find ourselves in. But as is our tradition as a nation, we will emerge from this crisis stronger and more prepared for whatever the future may bring. Our nation is one that unites in times of crisis and this time will be no different.

To that point, President Trump and Vice President Pence have called upon all Americans to do their part to assist in the quick recovery of our nation. For many, it will simply be practicing “Social Distancing”, for others it will mean helping the vulnerable amongst us with food delivery and other caring acts. For those with the means, it will be continuing to employ workers that are part of your company’s family.

In a news conference held on March 17th Vice President Pence asked explicitly for construction companies to help with the donation of masks. Hospitals and health care facilities are desperate for masks for patients and practitioners. As part of the PBAP family, we are asking all our members to inventory your N95 masks and donate what you can to local medical facilities. This simple act can help alleviate the spread of the virus and help get our nation back to normal. Below is the quoted text from Vice President Pence.

“We would make one specific request, and that is we would urge construction companies to donate their inventory of N95 masks to your local hospital and forego additional orders of those industrial masks. Those industrial masks that they use on construction sites are perfectly acceptable for healthcare workers to be protected from a respiratory disease.”

On behalf of the Officers and Board Members, I want to thank you for your continued support and remind you we are all family at the PBAP. Please reach out if there is anything we can do or anything you think can be done to assist our members or the community.

PBAP is a non-profit, tax exempt 501(c)(6) organization that is non-political in character, but may cooperate in civic enterprises.
